After Graduating from Moon High School I attended Maricopa Community Technical College, where I studied commercial and advertising art. Transferred to Glendale Community College and studied fine art and sculpting.

I worked at various advertising agencies and publishing firms before my path led me to The Arizona Republic/The Phoenix Gazette where I stayed for over 21 years working in various departments. I started out as an artist with the Circulation Promotion Department. When the newspaper created,Teleguide (forerunner to the internet as it is known today), I became a computer page designer. After Teleguide ended, I returned to the newsroom as a page designer for the Features department. My last position was a designer for the Custom Publishing Department, where special projects were created. In 2003 I left the company. I like to think of it as retiring that portion of my career.

Art has played a major part in my life. Commercial art was a way to make a living and a creative outlet of sorts. I can and have worked in several mediums, from oils, pen & ink, water color and my favorite, clay. Sculpting is by far my favorite medium. I also consider myself an amateur photographer.

After being in the commercial end of art for so many years I have also developed many computer skills. I’m currently using my photography and computer skills to create digital art. I love taking photos of my favorite subjects, my horses, and converting them into digital art, a very different medium.
